"This is what I am now. And you’ll never know who I was before."
I love this because it shows that you can’t always be perfect and do everything right in life to succeed. Life is about making mistakes, learning from them, and then becoming a better person who achieves in life
Watch: Vegan Cutie, Senna, Speaks About Animal Activism at Tedx Encinitas
Last month I had the amazing opportunity to attend TEDxEncinitas. What an amazing day! I am so happy to be able to relieve it all over again, now that the talks are finally uploaded to YouTube. One talk in particular that I’ve been waiting on pins & needles to share was from this darling 8 year old vegan activist, Senna. In this talk, Senna shares how she learned that California Sea Lions were in crisis & what prompted her to create a fundraiser for the Pacific Marine Mammal Center, raising over $900! I love how she also weaves in factory farming, veganism & gives a shout out to Jenny Brown & The Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary.
I adore this child! This little activist is gonna change the word! Keep up with Senna at her blog vegankids.net.
The SCAR Project is a series of large-scale portraits of young breast cancer survivors shot by fashion photographer David Jay. Primarily an awareness raising campaign, The SCAR Project puts a raw, unflinching face on early onset breast cancer while paying tribute to the courage and spirit of so many brave young women.
Dedicated to the more than 10,000 women under the age of 40 who will be diagnosed this year alone, The SCAR Project is an exercise in awareness, hope, reflection and healing.
Now HERE’S a good goddamn glimpse at breast cancer. Fuck your “save second base” bullshit. -C
